My current Facebook status says this: Aprille is pretty convinced that God really loves her.

While the truth of my life is that God is good all the time, and that He loves me all the time, there are sometimes God uses little things to show me just how much.

It all started with printer cartridges, and a very small checking account balance. Every military wife will tell you that it seems that everything will ALWAYS go wrong at the wrong time. What I’m learning is that God’s timing is usually better than ours. I realized on Monday that my printer was out of ink. Which of course just happened to be AFTER I’d finished all my big grocery shopping and spent a bunch of extra money on stuff for my husband for homecoming. I’d left myself with about $45 for the next week and printer cartridges are kinda pricey. Normally, I would just wait…I don’t really use my printer that much. But it just so happens that I HAVE to use my printer TODAY. I knew I would just have to deal with it and put the cartridges on the credit card cuz I didn’t really have another choice.

I was brushing my hair getting ready to go to Office Max and I found myself thinking something like, “…it would be really nice if I hit some kind of good deal on these cartridges.” Now, I know that God answers prayers, but I don’t even think I could call that a prayer. (Maybe it’s just that God is really good at mind-reading?)

The cartridge dual pack that I needed cost $31.99. However the guy helping me pointed out this sign that said you get a free $10 gift card with the purchase of this dual pack! Never one to pass up a deal lol, I asked him if I bought it, could I turn around and use the $10 gift card toward the purchase of another dual pack and get yet another gift card? HE SAID YES!!!

So, okay, yeah, I’m not happy about spending $50 that I didn’t have. But for that amount I got 4 printer cartridges and a $10 gift card…I think I did really good! Well what I mean to say is HE IS GOOD!!!!!!!!! He saved me $20 today!

I drove home with a smile on my face feeling very happy and very loved.
