Journey Through Deployment Giveaway

I am so happy to announce that my good friend, Kathryn from Singing Through the Rain, has published her first e-book, called Journey Through Deployment. Here is a little bit about her book, as shared on her website:

Journey Through Deployment: Stepping Forward with Confidence During Military Separations is filled with:

  • Tips for preparing yourself and your family for deployment.
  • Hope and encouragement to get you through deployment.
  • A section for civilians to learn what military life is like.
  • Tips for preparing yourself and your family for reintegration.
  • Stories, lessons, and journeys of other military spouses just like you!

This is a journey you were meant to take. Don’t let deployment intimidate you; learn to step forward with confidence. Remember: you are not alone. The challenges in this journey may be waiting to dishearten you, but you can and will overcome them and experience hope and encouragement on the road ahead.

I was privileged to contribute several sections to this e-book, including a survival plan for emergency scenarios and some thoughts and advice about reintegration.

Kathryn and I are giving away a free copy of this e-book to one of my readers. To win, leave a comment telling why you would like to win, along with your email address! I will pick a random winner on Saturday morning.

  1. Although my husband is out of the military now he is currently training for a job that will have him on a rotation of 105 days gone home 35. This will be the first time he has deployed in 3 years so I think I could use a refresher on deployments lol!

  2. One of my best friends husband is in the middle of her husband’s 4th deployment to Afghanistan. There have been other places before that. My husband served in the Navy before we got married, so I have never experienced what it would be like to have the person I love be in harm’s way half way around the world. I would love to have your book so I can understand her pain, worries, and love in supporting her soldier.

  3. We’re currently almost 1/2 way through our 9th deployment and this one is the longest one we’ve had so far. I’ve been so inspired by Kathryn’s blog and would love to read the book…in my “spare time as temporary single parent”

  4. O wow! I’d love to win this to gve to my sister-in-law. My brother just left Sunday…another 1 year deployment. Its really hard and the family has great faith, but all are weary.

  5. I would love to win this! My hubby is in the Marines and we haven’t gone through a deployment yet but I would love to be prepared for what is very possibly a future event.

  6. I would love to win this book because my husband re-enlisted this week, so I am sure we will be facing another deployment in the future. I had no idea how to handle the first deployment, and it was very hard. I would love to be better equipped next time for my husband and our family.
