In honor of turning 30, I’m sharing 30 things my readers might not know about me. I did this four years ago, when I turned 26 (you can read that post here), so coming up with 30 MORE things was quite a challenge!

Also, I have a scavenger hunt going on over on my Facebook page today! I’m asking 30 questions – the answers to which can be found on my blog! Every right answer gets you an entry for a Starbucks gift card drawing. I hope you’ll come over and join in the fun!

Without further adieu, here are 30 {more} things you probably don’t know about me:

1. My Myers Briggs type is ISFJ.

2. My favorite drink at Starbucks actually isn’t coffee. It’s a chai tea latte with vanilla syrup. It’s best paired with a Marshmallow Dream Bar.

3. I have three brothers. The last time we were all together was Christmas, 2014.

4. I grew up without a TV.

5. The first movie I saw in the theater was Penelope. I was 21 at the time.

6. My mom named me, but my Dad was the one who chose the spelling.

7. I prefer dark chocolate and chewy candy (like Skittles and Starburst) over milk chocolate.

8. I have OCD tendencies.

9. I was blessed with straight teeth and have never had braces.

10. I don’t like animals. I used to have a bird as a pet but once he died, I had no desire to get another one. I especially don’t like dogs. *dodges rotten tomatoes*

11. I don’t enjoy cooking or baking.

12. I’ve had the same haircut for 10 years.

13. I’ve never dyed my hair.

14. To get my glamour curls, I have to use hot rollers. If I use a curling iron, it looks curly for about 20 minutes and then goes completely flat.

15. I would rather watch a TV show than a movie. Probably because I get very attached to fictional characters.

16. I used to be a big baseball fan. Go Indians!

17. I also used to be a sanctimonious goody-goody that no one in my class liked.

18. I have a weird way of eating pumpkin pie. I eat all the filling first, then the crust.

19. I’m very resourceful when it comes to internet stalking…I mean sleuthing. I Facebook and Instagram stalk all kinds of people.

20. I don’t have any tattoos.

21. If I had been born a boy, my parents would have named me Eric Scott.

22. I’m a very picky eater, although I keep trying foods I don’t like, in hopes that I begin to like them. So far, it’s not working. Among the foods I don’t like are hummus, avocado, cottage cheese, and pretty much half of the vegetables that God created.

23. When I was a little girl, I was terrified of our local garbage truck. It was purple, and I thought it was going to crush me up in its compactor. It got so bad that I used to hide in my room on garbage day. Finally, my mom called the garbage company and asked them to make a special trip so that I could meet the garbage man and find out that he was a really nice guy. His name was Mike and I got to sit in the cab of the garbage truck. I got over my fear of the purple garbage truck, eventually.

24. I’ve never been a bridesmaid.

25. I took organ lessons for 6 years and was on rotation as a church organist in several churches I attended.

26. I can’t have long nails because when they grow I can’t play the piano nor can I open things. Seriously. Can’t open anything.

27. I color coordinate my perfume with my clothes and jewelry. Amber colored perfume goes with yellow gold, blue body spray with blue tops, clear perfume with white gold, purple body spray with pink and purple, etc.

28. I have night terrors regularly. But only when I’m in the luteal phase. I think they are cause by progesterone.

29. In elementary school, I was spelling bee champion in state Christian school association competitions in 2nd grade and 5th grade.

30. I only weighed 5 lbs and 14 ounces when I was born. I came 2 weeks early, but I was my mom’s smallest baby.
