Three weeks with my parents: another unexpected gift of 2020

January 10, 2021 by Aprille Leave a Comment

My parents taught me a lot about the sacrificial, unconditional love that parents have for their children, no matter how those children are! October 26, 2014 by Aprille 3 Comments

One of the hardest aspects of becoming a parent to a child with special needs is how it greatly affects an existing family dynamic. In many cases this leads to a division in family relationships, hurt feelings, and the dissolution of a support system that is greatly needed.

No matter the root of the conflict, the same cooping mechanisms apply for getting through that very strenuous and painful situation.
