Order in the Mess: Bearing God’s Image as a Type-A Homemaker

February 13, 2020 by Aprille Leave a Comment

I am made in the image of God, and that is beautiful. Every person has within him or her the image of God. It is our role…our job as His creation to bear that image well and show that image to those around us. Order is part of God’s personality. When I lean in to those parts of myself that He created, I am demonstrating that part of Him in my life. Whether you are a “type A mama” or disorganized, beautiful mess, I pray that you feel God’s love upon your life and find ways to bear His beautiful image in your personality.

September 5, 2013 by Aprille 13 Comments

I’ve been trying to do way too much. So I took scissors to my schedule and started cutting.

You might be a military wife if… (laundry)

October 15, 2009 by Aprille Leave a Comment

YOU MIGHT BE A MILITARY WIFE IF…if you are behind on laundry and stedfastly purpose in your mind to enact “Operation Fold Laundry” to get it all done! (Yup found myself thinking this one yesterday…unfortunately the mission failed. Thus it’s back to folding again today.)

~making a house a home~

September 20, 2009 by Aprille Leave a Comment

the guest bedroom: the bathroom: the front of the house (I planted the mums myself): you know it’s home when you start baking pie… There will be more to come in the near future, but this organizing and decorating phase is taking me a little bit longer than I expected.
