On my 2016 Reader Survey (if you haven’t taken it yet, you can do so here: Reader Survey), it seems that my readers are interested in the following topics: motherhood (83.3%), marriage (72.2%), faith (72.2%), and HUMOR (66.7%). I found that mildly surprising, because I don’t consider myself to be a really funny person. However, this year, I did try my hand at some funny mom memes that I’ve shared on Facebook that have done, well, decently enough I suppose.

Dear Moms up way too early on a Saturday morning: I saw a t-shirt on FB this week that said “In memory of when I slept in.” #storyofmylife right there. I’ve been thrilled that Ezra is finally sleeping well and that this summer, our average wake time has been a blissful 6:00am. Honestly, I think – after 6 years – my body has FINALLY adjusted to waking early. I’m only half comatose for about 45 minutes instead of 4 hours. All I can say is this: 1) You are in a super elite cool club of moms up early with babies. SUPER COOL CLUB. like epic. 2) Your babies will sleep in eventually. I think. That’s what the former members of our SUPER COOL club tell me. I have yet to see this happen, but I’m still holding out hope. 3) Every day you wake up freakishly early, you grow just a tiny bit more resilient. 4) The world is a better place because you are in it. Who knows? That toddler with the foot in your face at 4:36AM might be the next Steve Jobs. And he’s gonna be aided along his journey to greatness because Netflix has taught him wonderful things like what a HUMUHUMUNUKUNUKUAPUA is and YOU made that happen!! Hang in there Mama. P.S.
