As a military spouse who prides myself on being a care package expert, I have developed a super-wonderful way to pack cookies to send then to the other side of the world.
How to pack cookies for a long-distance care package
You take two cookies, place them flat sides together, and wrap them gently in a piece of plastic wrap, with enough wrap to pad the cookies on both sides.
Then take these little cookie-twins in a gallon zip-lock bag (usually 12 fit perfectly – two dozen to a bag) and surround them on either side with either shredded paper, packing peanuts, or plastic bags, zip it up, and you are good to go.
I wasn’t sure that this really worked, but I just got a package returned that I sent to Russ over a month ago. Sad that it got returned, but glad to know that all the cookies are actually still in-tact and fresh after taking TWO trips across the ocean! Only about 4 of them were broken! I was shocked!!
