A FREE printable for the friend of a special-needs mom

I really have no way to express my gratitude to the people who have shared, tweeted, pinned my post How to encourage a special-needs mom (when you aren’t one). Thanks also to each person who left a comment on the page – what great advice and oh some of the heart-breaking stories as well. I so wish that I could give each and every one of you a big hug!
One of my readers suggested that a printable version of the post would be great and something that could be easily distributed between friends in person or at churches or community events to spread awareness. I thought it was a fabulous idea and am so happy to be able to offer this to my readers.
I collaborated with my friends, squeezed the ten original points into eight, and fit it all onto one page. I pray that this content is something that you can and will distribute.

Thank you SO MUCH for linking to this from Lori Harris’ blog. I am the mother of 3 special needs children, and I’m trying to create more awareness through my church. This printable is perfect. I wish it were a little more “special needs parent” rather than “special needs mom” as my husband is just as involved as I am in raising our children, but I do understand the context in the post, so that’s a minor detail. Again, thank you for taking the time to create this.

Tina: thank you so much for your feedback. I do recognize the limitations in the verbiage here and the other contributors and I are currently working on more resources for supporters of special needs families that will be more inclusive! I would love to have you subscribe either by email or to my monthly newsletter so you will be among the first to know when they come available!

Aprille,
I’ve been following your blog since I first came across your post How To Encourage A Special Needs Mom (when you aren’t one.) It’s the all time most compassionate blog post I’ve ever read. I’ve shared it with friends accross the country and even with a special needs ministry. Please accept the Sunshine award to recognise great work that is full of life! http://advocacyautismspecialneeds.wordpress.com/2014/02/14/sunshine-on-a-poopy-day/
(don’t worry it’s only a poopy day because we’re potty training 🙂 )
Sincerely,
Julie

Thank you so much! I feel honored!
