“It is never too early to teach kids about God.”

Sparkhouse Family believes that kids can begin learning about God as they begin developing through their childhood. Thus, they have created a wonderful set of kids books called Frolic that reaches young children from the baby years to the older preschool years.

Their Frolic Faith set is centered around the tagline, “Little Steps, Big Faith.”

“Based on developmental concepts and faith themes, the durable Frolic Faith Board Books help fit moments of faith formation into everyday life. The Frolic Faith Picture Books introduce young children to common childhood challenges and focus on helping children connect with and trust God.”

Sparkhouse sent us a free set of these books to review, and we have thoroughly enjoyed having these books in our home. I love that the board books are appropriate for our baby to play with and look at.

The picture books are right on Ezra’s level. The picture books are great and pinpointing struggles that all children have during the preschool years – anger, frustration, trouble with friends, and loneliness. I’m partial to the one that deals with anger, as that is a struggle that Ezra has due to his special needs.

Their Frolic First Bible is great for young kids because it tells the bare-bones version of Bible stories without delving into more difficult concepts. Each story also has a very simplistic truth application for the child This book truly is a great introductory Bible story book for little hearts.

I also like that the Bible story depicts the Biblical characters as Middle Eastern, rather than white – a far more accurate depiction. I discuss this further and show you pictures in the video review below, which Ezra and I put together!
