Y’all, Facebook is my jam.
Let me explain:
Despite Facebook’s dumb algorithm issues (which have me literally begging my email subscribers for more interaction), despite my former issues (and ongoing recovery) with Facebook addiction, despite all of the election drama that got me blocked by friends and drove me to temporarily deactivate my account, I’m still realizing that THIS is the place to be. (Online anyway.)
Thanks to my best friend, fellow special needs mom and milspouse, and go-to blogging coach, Kathryn, I have learned a lot of tips and tricks along the way that have grown my blog’s Facebook page by ALMOST 1000 likes this year. (Key word being: almost. Have you liked it? If not, go like it. I’ll wait. It would be really cool to hit 2,000 by the end of the year.)
So, Kathryn, dear Kathryn, I love you with all of my heart, and then some.
Before we get to my top posts…let me tell you about some…
New Cool Facebook Stuff
First of all, I’ve created a NEW Facebook page. Because I thought I didn’t have enough to manage.
No really. One of the difficult things about being such an eclectic blogger who covers SO many different topics is that not all of my content is relevant to my entire audience. So, when I share stuff about faith, military life, or special needs parenting – only a portion of you all care about it. And I get that. So, I’ve created a spinoff page. Think of it like NCIS and NCIS: LA. Just like that, only with blogging.
My new page is called Special Needs Parenting Memes and Encouragement. It’s also known as Special Needs Survival (its URL). I will still share my special needs content on my main page, but not all of the links from other bloggers and memes that I have been in the habit of sharing. So if you are a special needs parent, I encourage you to “like” my new page.
ALSO, I’ve created a special group JUST FOR YOU called Special Needs Survival. (See what I did there?) This is a CLOSED Facebook group where we are aiming more toward discussion, connection, and encouragement.
Finally, my other new project is a closed Facebook group for Millennial Moms. Again, this group is geared toward discussion, connection, and encouragement! We have daily featured discussion topics!
I invite you all to join either (or both, if they apply) of my new groups and join in the discussion going into the new year!
Now, I want to share with you some of my TOP Facebook posts this year. Some of them are also my top BLOG posts for the year (which I’ll share – again – in an upcoming post), but some of them are photos. A few of them are even blog posts from other bloggers that have gained incredible reach this year!
