Four…

When I hear the word four, I think of so many things. Four can be an eternity, or the blink of an eye.

Four more months (maybe) until hubby comes home. We still aren’t for sure, but it’s what I’m holding onto. This four seems like an eternity. Russ and I are both worn thin. We need you to pray for us because we are both having very bleak outlooks for the next four (plus) months. We are trying to make it through and hold to each other, but being separated isn’t easy.

(Okay now that we got the depressing FOUR out of the way…lets move onto some happy FOURS!)

Four(th)…28 days in February divided by 7 days done so far means that we are a fourth of the way through February!!!!! Yippeeeee!! For most of you that may seem insignifiant, but for me, that means that one of the aFOURmentioned months is now a quarter of the way over!

Four months…and 2 days…that’s what Russ and I got to spend together from the time we got married until the time we deployed. See this is why I blog…to remind myself of the good times. We didn’t have a honeymoon, but we spent the whole four months honeymooning. We went to Corpus Christi, Galveston, San Antonio (twice), Six Flags (twice), and week-long vacation to the inlaws in North Carolina. We also spent long hours just cuddled on the couch watching Stargate or cute movies like “You’ve Got Mail.” We spent our Friday night “date nights” at both fancy restaurants and Chick-Fil-A. It was very short but very wonderful. Not without hardship but totally worth every minute.

Four day weekends! One of the best parts of being in the military. Because usually if there is a holiday, say, on a Monday, we’ll either get the previous Friday or the following Tuesday off. Which means a few things…1) traffic on base and in town is AWFUL!!!! lol 2) we get to spend a bunch of time together. If it weren’t for four day weekends I wouldn’t have been able to see Russ at all while we were dating. 3 out of the 5 times I saw him were four day weekends. Ahhh good times.

Okay I think that’s all the fours I can think of for now.
