This past Wednesday I reached the 30 week mark of my pregnancy, which now means I’m 75% done!! Only 10 more weeks to go til my due date!
Baby Squirt just keeps growing and growing. Simple tasks are getting awkward and cumbersome, and sometimes even uncomfortable. I’m doing a lot of resting between chores just to keep my strength up.
I think that I’m finally adjusting to sleeping on my side, with the aid of 2-3 pillows! Unfortunately it seems that no matter what position I sleep in, I end up waking up several times a night with a sore back and abdomen. Oh the joys!!! We have also been in a 2-3 week spell of 90+ degree weather which has definitely made things harder to endure! We have had to run the air conditioning even though we didn’t want to spend the extra energy…I’m just thankful that we have it, even if it costs us a bit more. Thankfully I actually see a high temp of only 83 in the 5 day forecast!
As far as baby preparations, I’m happy to announce that almost everything is DONE! I bought my swingnbounce (spending only $7 of my own money thanks to cash gifts, gift cards, and swagbucks!) and it’s now assembled in the living room. Let me say that I’m so incredibly glad that I got my nursery and everything else read early on! Putting together baby stuff with a 30-week belly in summer heat is not nearly as fun as with a 20-week belly in spring breezes! Now it’s just the little stuff like the baby laundry (which I started this week) and taking all of the baby gifts out of their packages and putting them in their proper places.
I just finished reading Your Best Birth by Ricki Lake. So far it’s by far the best and most comprehensive book I’ve read on natural childbirth! I would recommend it to any expecting mommy!
