this choosing of whitespace, it’s a mighty work. I’m moving a mountain of stress, anxiety, fear, one shovel of scary crap and deep breath at a time.
It feels like every split second my thoughts are splintered. No one single task ever has my full and undivided attention.
thoughts about #whitespace and sending my boy to preschool
You know what’s hard? When Mommy needs whitespace but the boy just needs Mommy – and lots of Mommy. This morning, I choose the boy.
In this post, I’d like to share some of the ways I have already begun to create whitespace in our home and with our family.
This is why our entire family needs whitespace. We need space and time for rest and healing. We need to slow down and catch up with everything life has thrown our way.
My hope and prayer for 2014 is that there be more margin in my schedule, more blank spots on my calendar, less clutter and mess in my home, more stillness in my spirit, more breathing room in my mind, and more room in my heart for God.
